🐺 Appreciation post for my boy Mars
🐺 In 1 year he has come so far, from being dog reactive to almost all dogs to now coming on consults to help other reactive dogs.
🐺 He still has his days, and his emotional response is still there internally but we have spent countless hours building a strong obedience foundation, a strong relationship bond, consistent clear communication, clear rules and expectations, structure within the home, repeated exposure to his triggers (dogs) from outside his critical distance.
🐺 If you have a reactive dog, there is hope, don't give up, but if you want to see change in behaviour, your behaviour must also change.
It is a team effort.
